"McCreadie Suite hosts CO-OP Diversity Conference."

The CO-OP hosted an impressive Diversity Conference on Saturday 13th September 2008 where a variety of speakers and workshop leaders explored issues of diversity in our society such as disability, gender and sexual orientation.  There were a good variety of people attended the conference and raised the profile of equality in society here in the Higlands.

Mags Bradbury, Membership Project Manager of the Co-operative Group said:- 
"The Merkinch Community Centre provided an ideal venue for our diversity event. The venue was accessible and welcoming. However, what stood-out about the venue was its staff and the care and attention that they gave to organising the event and looking after our delegates on the day. Also, it has to be said that the food was some of the best that I have had at such an event. It was a pleasure to hold our event at the Merkinch Community Centre and I look forward to returning"
