Singing
for Pleasure, Inverness
launch their first CD
The
group are delighted to have
yet another 'first time achievement' in 2008 by recording Singing for
Pleasure Favourties
CD. SFP had talked of recording a cd for some time,
but after the
exciting adventure to London 'Last Choir Standing' competition, Tutor
Elsie
Normington announced that the time was now ripe to record all their
favourite
songs. Friend and Volunteer Chris McMillan gave his
time freely to
record and sound engineer the whole cd and the group acknowledge
greatful
thanks for all his patience, time and effort. 100 copies of
the CD were
sold in the first week of the launch.

Volunteering
Highland host AGM

The
AGM had representative members
from around the Highlands and wider afield, presenting awards to
several young
people for volunteering hours served. The Drama group from Evanton
performed on
the stage and a group from Caithness showed their video version of 'The
Apprentice'.
All delegates appreciated the versatility of the
Merkinch facilty.
